Been here in march. good price. amazing customers service. nice room, clean and tidy. near shopping centre. best place to stay. surrounded good restaurants.
This hotel is value for money however, expect to have some things not working or available. Air con is temperamental at times but provides sufficient Temperature.Service can be poor at times and is not consistent, having replace soap etc at odd times, and bed making seemed rough some days.Breakfast is the best menu by far. I would recommend the big breakfast. I would have preferred a vegetarian big breakfast option. The lunch menu is by far better than the dinner menu as well as the dinner food made me sick the whole stay and inconsistent to what is written in the menu to what you receive. This hotel is useful as it is central and convenient for nearby locations. There are so many staff that no one actually knows what to do or take charge.
Has been my first choice for staying in Wellington. Everything you expect from an Ibis hotel. Great central location. My room was ready on arrival which was great for an early check-in.
Nice, clean and great location. Would use again when in Welly.
I stayed here for work this time but have stayed here before whilst on holiday. It is central to everything, has parking available, is clean and tidy (although I did notice some areas of the room dont appear to have been deep cleaned for a while) and affordable. The bed is super comfy. The staff are really nice (special thanks to Michael in Reception and Kim in the Restaurant) and the location is perfect. A great choice for a short stay in the City. Thanks Ibis Team. I will be back again. 😁👍
Comfortable bed and a good shower...
No electric blanket, very small and cold. Heating was vents in ceiling. Didnt really warm the room and noisy.Had to fill jug up in bathroom not many coffee or tea bags. No toaster no microwave no opening windows, felt very imprisoned. Would never reccomend or stay again. Was an awful experience. Bed was OK.
We walked in off the street for buffet breakfast - it was delicious and great value for money. Cooked and continental options, coffee machine and juices available. Plenty of seating space as well. It was great as there werent any other places open for breakfast in the area.
Been here multiple times for work. The rooms are what you want when you book a work hotel. Reliable. And the service is great. They dont talk your ear off, theyre quick and courteous.
Have been here a few times for work. Nice and central. Night shift receptionist wasn’t very helpful but besides that brilliant breakfast buffet.
Excellent. Thanks for the upgrade. Very much appreciated.
Stayed for two nights. Nice clean rooms. Good service by house keeping.Struggled with street parking. They dont have parking on the premises.Basement parking all full throughout weekend.A small microwave is required in queens room. No way to heat up anything. No drinking water facility either. Location very convenient to popular places.
Great stay for 2 nights. Rooms immaculate, staff amazing. My 2nd time staying with Ibis when I have come to Wellington. Location is perfect.Thank you guys at Ibis, will keep coming back when Im in Wellington.Glenda
An overnight stay in Wellington allowed me to try the Ibis hotel. Perfect location in the cbd, very nice staff, very clean and comfy room.
Great location, central to all you need or may want to visit. Have stayed here multiple times for this reason.
Right in the heart of the city which Is perfect for seeing everything the CBD has to offer. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Buffet breakfast was yummy and worth pre paying for ease each morning. Initially thought the bed was going to be too soft but had three great nights sleep on it so no complaints there. Pre book parking if you can and be aware there is a 2m height limit to get in, we would have struggled to find parking if we hadnt booked through ibis. Will definitely stay again!
Jumped off the interislander, straight into our rooms. Ordered room service and was blown away! The food was spectacular! The baked Brie was amazing and the presentation of the banoffee dessert was outstanding like 5 star quality! Didn’t really expect that! Will definitely stay again!
Great room on 8th floor.Comfy bed. Good work desk in front of the window. Plenty of light.Helpful front desk team. I needed to add an extra night and they sorted that quickly and got a good rate. Also helped with laundry. Good guest laundry for only $2.00 for a washer and another $2.00 for the dryer.
Nice clean hotel, staff friendly. Easy walking to most places of interest in the central city otherwise taxi stand outside. Would happily stay here again
Staff are helpful and friendly ... room is clean and not a bad size. Great for a short stay.
Nice and friendly staff. Clean and tidy. Only one gripe, very poor customer service, communication model needs an overhaul.
Ibis Wellington has the worst accommodation in Wellington central. The customer service is average, the food I ordered was not what I asked, the shower was temperamental and that was day one of my three-day stay. Would not come back again.
Nice comfortable bed, good temperature in the room. Friendly and helpful staff. Good value for money and easy access to centre of Wellington.
Clean, well presented, great service, value for money.
Although parking is difficult, the Hotel is great. Especially if you just want to go in and relax. The buffet breakfast is amazing, but we couldnt get buffet due to Covid. Great experience. Will visit Ibis again.
Once again great location not far from queens wharf cable car shopping it all there
It is really just ok. The staff was super friendly and helpful but when we got there they had lost my parking booking and the lady next to mes entire booking. The rooms were clean and tidy and the room cleaners were super nice. But it is still just a tiny room with the basics. There prices are not bad, so if you are looking for a clean, comfortable, friendly place to stay for not to much, this is a good option.
Awesome stay, great service, breakfast buffet was lovely, clean, tidy room lovely night away
Great customer service and easy check in, appreciated they had a cafe downstairs especially on the Sunday morning when the rest of WLG was asleep at 7am
Great stay, room was really nice and clean. Beds are comfortable to sleep in.
Staff were really friendly and helpful, great while travelling with a small child
Stayed here for a work stop over while working night shift so had to sleep during the day. The room I had, had black out curtains which made the room dark during the day which is exactly what I was looking for.
Great location, hotel rooms were clean and cosy, awesome staff! And a special thanks to Michael at the service desk who helped my partner & I with everything we needed! Will definitely be returning in the future, Highly recommend!!
The room was clean and warm and the bed was comfy.
Fresh rooms, great breakfast.
Lovely and incredibly friendly staff. Room was nice - only had 1 obvious power point
Nice & tidy, good central location. Well worth paying the extra for the breakfast buffet.
Room was very clean great communication with the staff the only thing is there wasnt enough staff on for the restaurant but the only girl on did a great job in dealing with customers would recommend the ibis to anyone to stay
Great place to stay. Nice buffet breakfast although it was cold In there.
Good sized rooms and very helpful desk staff. Nice comfy beds too !
Nice room breakfasts were amazing 👏
Great location, but otherwise very basic. No cutlery in rooms, generally austere.
Clean but not very modern, cheap and nasty shower door that doesnt close and shelf that is about to fall off. Room service only cleans room after 2pm. Breakfast average, coffee is nasty. OK for a safe business stay in the CBD.
Clean and tidy rooms. Great service but need to checks alarms on clocks. Ours went off unexpectedly at 12.00am. Very annoying when very tired and having an early start the next day
We arrived early and it was a bonus for us to be able to leave our bags there The room (twin beds) was clean and the beds soo comfy Good pressure in the shower Good breakfast Lots of veritiy Staff lovely and welcoming Great for a one night stay and walking distance to so much Great place
Nice room, front counter staff member wasnt that friendly
Very nice. Friendly staff and so conveniently close to allot of things in central wellington
Nothing fancy. Shower door didnt shut properly. Heater was noisy as. Bed was ok.
Great location. Comfortable bed, all you need
Awesome service love how they cook alnight
Clean and compact room. Quiet and efficient service at reception, restaurant and bar
Very comfortable clean rooms. Good restaurant and friendly staff.
Its a nice place to stay in the heart of city of Wellington. On street meter parking avail. From 6pm - 8am free parking. Close to go everywhere. Food lots of place to choose from and their breakfast also nice. If you are a member of Accor Hotel you will get surprise discount when you pay at the hotel but it is not showing when you booked. Thank you Accor Hotel Group for the surprise discount. Parking on hotel site also available for a fee of $32.Definitely will stay back to Ibis Wellington if we visit Wellington again.
The air con was running all night, we couldnt turn the stupid thing off with out pulling the key card out which in turn, turned all of our power off. Terrible night sleep because of it and way over priced for the expericence! 2 weeks of hotels and i would rate this one at the bottom.
Ok if you’re rich and can afford to eat out, no bowls for self breakfast the coffee machine made a great shoot black but if you liked milk it made it cold. Not very many plugs … and finally no parking unless you’re happy paying $45 a day!
Service was good. Rooms clean and tidy but looking a bit dated. Beds were comfortable but a bit om the small side. Not much of a view
Great parking arrangement for a CBDStaff all helpful and efficientRoom was goodPrice was average
Great place to stay, very clean and tidy, very helpful staff
Lovely rooms and very clean. Would stay there again as very close to shopping area
Really, it is just ok.Sure it is tidy and clean, but has a very budget feeling to it, not what I expected.Rooms are small, beds close together, you have to pay for wifi in your room and parking on top of your stay. No spa, pool or gym etc.
Very central. Good clean accommodation
Price wise it is quite reasonable. We had a double Queen. The room comes with no frills, very basic but tidy and clean. The pillows were really nice, the bed was not the best. The breakfast buffet seemed a bit pricey but we felt that it was fair for all it offered. The staff was very friendly.Mecca, and other shops are 5 Min walk. Its right in the centre of CBD. Location wise its perfect. Right outside the hotel, there are cafes. Wilson parking is at 1 Min drive and 2 Min walk. Actually there are more than one Wilson parkings in walking distance. Water front is less than ten minutes walk.
Good location with all facilities working but rooms are very tired. Breakfasts okay but not heated properly- I dont like like warm bacon and eggs.
Didnt arrive till @midnight so nothing was open...upgrade and complimentary dessert and the personal touch of a greeting card makes you guys that bit extra💕we had breakfast. i had salmon bene my wife had big brekkie food was fab...
Just like my stay at IBIs, very comfy especiallly the bed and pillow ...Hope , i can bring the pillow at home.Lol. Just have a better stay.
Very clean room. Cleaned daily. Great central position in the city
Slow slow service 45 mins for a hot chocolate and Luke warm
Clean, tidy and well staffed. A great location. Perfect for a one nighter in Wellington.
Good enough for an economic hotel stay. Very nice staff. Very difficult to contact by phone after business hours.
Comfortable room, central and friendly service.
I found the staff to be not particularly friendly, I had to call twice to get my bill emailed to me. Such a simple thing should not take 2 calls and a request upon departure.
Our stay was ok. Staff were friendy. Very limited towels in the room. No shower mat or hand towel and no spare toilet rolls. Also only one wine glass. And no hair dryer. I guess you get what you pay for. Probably wont be back.
Great place to stay awesome friendly staff
Thought this accomodation is a bit overpriced for the room quality
Had a drink here. was good!
Nice hotel in a good location, friendly staff
Great central location and very comfy beds.
Excellent,great facilities @ Helpful Staff.
Nice hotel very central
Lovely time the staff were friendly and accommidating
Great central location for business and shopping. Enjoyed comfortable clean and modern room. Staff didnt mention anything about breakfast so little bit confused in the morning.
Couldnt fault the Ibis at all. And definitely will be staying here anytime Im in Wellington
Great location and value for money. Staff always very helpful.
Good budget accommodation for a work trip.
Standard hotel room, location was good. No free wifi. Parking options limited & expensive.
Great room and good breakfast
Over all experience was OK. Room was loud due to door between rooms was poorly sealed leaking a fair bit of noise. Staff seemed over worked. Parking was a mission on arrival as you ha e to prebook.Wont be booking here again mainly due to convenience of the whole stay.
Check in wasnt the best, rooms are dark, WiFi is terrible, unable to get up to other levels of the building apart from your own, car park doesnt cater to everyone so have had to park out on the street and continously keep going down to pay. Cant say Id stay again.
Polite, courteous staff 😃
Ok for the price point. We hd a tiny room not much bigger than the bed. Facilities getting tired, our toilet gets stuck on flushing, room dated. No remote for TV despite asking and being in for multiple nights. Service average.
Within walking distance to Cuba street, Te Papa, Paliment buildings and wharf. Staff at there were very friendly.
Only booked this as close to Ferry port.So outdated the place needs a major update.Only given 2 milks and 2 tea bags (for 2 people) more needs to be supplied.Wellington is so run down visited before and noticed a huge difference quite a few beggars this time with one being aggressive to people.Went to Hotel Bristol and food was a bit of a let down from when we last visited the place was empty and noticed hardly anyone around in Wellington.Wouldnt stay here again it was depressing
Terrible hotel, wouldnt amend booking that was incorrectly made by thirdparty company, ibis/accor hotels and agoda have lost a customer for life
Clean and tidy, great location.
Very helpful friendly service. Room was very comfortable.
Great place to sleep and visit wellington. Dont expect luxury or cleanliness because thats what you wont pay for.Parking in the building is limited, so you need to call first and make sure they reserve you a spot. It costs 30 NZD per night.
Friendly staff clean rooms very central extra for parking but worth it. Restaurant attached lovel food.
Never stayed here..but they gave me access to their washing machine & dryer while I stayed at the Novotel Hotel..$2 per wash..$2 for the dryer(45minutes)The receptionist was very friendly & let me & my family dine in their restaurant until our clothes were done.
Lots of places of interest, tour the parliament buildings ( BeeHive ) great tour visit the cable car, magnificent views over Wellington harbour, go to the Te Papa ( museum) walk along the key stop for a coffee and chill out,and the Botanical gardens are a must
Lovely staff and quiet rooms. One of the affordable hotels in Wellington. The parking cost 30 $ / day and is small so if you want a place, please dont check it too late.Otherwise, parking is free in the Wellingron streets between 6 PM and 8 AM.
